I have a 3 year old

We are now the proud parents of a 3 year old! Where has the time gone?

Our cutie, Ethan, celebrated his birthday on Saturday.

He was the most excited about blowing out his candles and... of course... getting presents! This birthday was so much fun, because he is finally old enough to understand what is going on. We had his party at the South Ogden Nature Park, which has a splash pad hooked to it (A place where kids can play in the water).

My nephew, Blaine playing in the water.

Katie made him an awesome "Thomas" cake. She is amazing at cake decorating.

He got some really awesome presents including a bike with training wheels, a sand box, tons of Thomas stuff, and clothes. He is so spoiled. The next morning he asked me when he could have his birthday again. Luckily, it is once a year or we wouldn't have any money left for food!

We love you Ethan! We are so proud of the big boy you are becoming! Thanks to all who came to his party. :)

Blog slackin...

For some reason I haven't felt much like blogging lately. I'm not sure why. I think I am bipolar when it comes to blogging... One month I'm posting every other day and the next month I'm lucky if I do it once a week. Oh well. At least I have a camera again so I can take cute pictures of my boys!

Over the weekend we went
camping with Chris' family. The first day the weather was perfect and than the next day we felt like we were camping in a swimming pool. I'm so glad that the weather it starting to be nice. I am so sick of the rain!

Enjoying the shade from our car.

Ethan in his cool Diego shades.

Grandma and my cute nephew Kaiden!

Ethan inspecting his toenails after they were painted pink. Grandma was painting her toenails and Ethan, Logan, and Breckston wanted to also. :) Of course, Chris was off fishing or he would have objected.

Not much has been going on besides school. Ethan's 3rd birthday is on Saturday. I'm pretty excited about it, because he is now old enough to know what is going on! My Dad's birthday was yesterday. Happy birthday old man... I mean Dad! :) You are still a young'un! Next week we are going camping again for 3 days with my fam. So awesome.

...And I'm hoping I can talk Chris into letting me get a swimsuit I want. I'm too scared to ask him in person and so I am asking him on my blog!... J/K. That was a joke. :)

The Big 27!

Monday was Chris' 27th Birthday.

Unfortunately, for him, he had to work. :( But when he got home we threw him a fun little party.

He has been wanting a barbecue grill for a while... and his wish came true!

Getting ready to grill!

Yummy french fries!
Or are they?

I would like to say that I made Chris this cool hamburger cake, but I will have to give credit to my good buddy Albertsons!I made Chris wear this birthday hat. Thanks for being a good sport!

The boys are getting so big! Here they are with their cute cousin Blaine eating at their own little table. Ethan insisted all day that it was "his birthday" and not "Daddys". Lucky for him, his birthday is only 10 days away!

Thanks to all who came to Chris' party and made him feel special! We love you Chris! Hope you had a good day!

I've learned

This Week I've learned...

... that if you let your kid play with your camera you will pay (for a new one!).

... to not let my almost 3 year old talk me into letting him give Logan his tylenol (as soon as I handed it to Ethan he popped it in his mouth!).

... that a flat tire isn't the end of the world.

... to stop second guessing myself.

... that I am a stronger person than I thought.

... that I take Chris for granted and that he does so much for our family.

... to not touch a hot pan (I learned that 2 minutes again). Ouch!

It was a couple of crazy weeks with Chris gone. I'm glad he is back!

Here is a cute video of Logan trying to make out with me:

Boldly going where this man has never gone before...

In past blogs, I have written about many of the different places I have been in the past year. This week, it's Huntsville, Alabama. It's a very beautiful place to visit with lots of trees and very kind, southern people. Today, fellow co-workers and I went to see Star Trek. Now okay, it's just a movie right? I could see it in Utah. So what is so special about seeing Star Trek? We went to an IMAX to watch it. So what is cool about watching Star Trek at the IMAX? We watched the movie at the US Space and Rocket Musuem. The really awesome part about this is that before an individual goes into the theatre, you walk next to a full-scaled model of the Space Shuttle. So it was an awesome setting and movie. Couldn't have asked for something cooler than that.

On a side note, I really miss Nanette and the boys. I can't wait to see them a little later this coming week. Maybe one of these times, they may come with me. That would be a lot of fun.
