Photo Shoot

When my mom was at my house last week we attempted to take the boys' pictures ourselves and make it look professional. We even bought a sheet and hung it up for the background. Well... to our dismay the boys did not want to cooperate. Logan was really tired and so after a few attempts he started to arch his back and slide off the couch. Ethan is 2 and so that should explain everything. He didn't want to cooperate because we wanted him to. Here is the best picture that we got of each of them. The professionals must have some tricks up their sleeves.

Kids

How is it that your kids can be driving you crazy, but you love them so much... at the same time?

I have been trying to get my house deep cleaned and it has definitely been a challenge with two kids. Yesterday I was working on Logan's room and I noticed that Ethan's cereal bowl was sitting empty on the floor. I asked him if he had spilled it and he just smiled. I peeked out in the hall to see his milk and cereal all over the floor and Logan sitting in it splashing. It was so funny. It smelled gross and I wanted to gag, but I hurried and wiped it up and gave Logan a bath. I didn't get a picture though. I should have. It seems like whenever Ethan makes a mess Logan ends up in the middle of it!

I really enjoy being a mom. It is hard sometimes, but I am trying harder each day to have more patience and show them lots of love.

Kansa City, MO

Chris and I were able to take a fun (at least for me) little trip to Kansas City, Missouri over the weekend. He had to go there for a Business Conference and we had just found out the week before and so it was a spur of the moment thing. I have been there before when we went to Nauvoo about 5 years ago, but Chris had never been. We left Ethan and Logan with my parents. Thanks Mom and Dad and every one else who helped out. We really appreciate it.

We had to fly in separate planes and this was the first time that I have flown by myself. It wasn't too bad. I love flying and always feel cool when I get to. I know... I'm a dork. Anyways, we got there on Sunday and decided to visit some of the Church historical sites. We visited Liberty Jail, the Independence visitor's center, Adam-Ondi-Ahman, and Farr West. It was a really spiritual and neat experience to visit the spots where the early Saints lived. Here are a few pictures:

Farr West Temple Site... also very peaceful.

The next day I hung out in the hotel and did homework and also went shopping while Chris went to his conference. Monday night we went into downtown Kansas City to see what it was like. It was very green with lots of bridges everywhere. We ate at a nice Italian restaraunt in a beautiful area of the town. Unfortunately I didn't have the camera with me. Tuesday afternoon we both took separate planes back to Utah. It was definitely a short trip, but fun to get away.

I just wanted to tell everyone about a blog that many of you may have heard of. It is Mccainblogette.com and it is written by John McCain's daughter. For all of those who support McCain, I find it very interesting.

All-you-can-eat Shrimp!

I know that my mom wrote about this already on her blog, but I wanted to add a couple of pictures. Chris looks forward to Red Lobster's Shrimpfest each year and has been counting down for a few months. Him and my dad have made it a tradition to go at least once a year, and of course my mom and I aren't going to miss out! I can't eat enough shrimp to get my money's worth and so I had artic salmon. It was so yummy!

Ethan started to go crazy after a little while. He is a typical two year old. When he was done eating he tried to push everything off the table onto the floor. I'm sure they had to vacuum under there a whole lot.

I think I need to have a girl!

I have really been slacking on my blog this last month. With starting school and being sick the last couple of weeks I just haven't gotten around to doing it. Chris and I both are getting over the stomach flu right now and we've been trying to keep the boys entertained. They don't like it too much when all we want to do is lay in bed.

Anyways, we went to Rawlins, Wyoming last weekend to visit Katie and Aaron. Katie has a lot of baby clothes and so we decided to dress Logan in some girl outfits. Let me tell you... he makes such a cute girl! What was really cute was that he was smiling the whole time and my parents were saying how much he looked like me, when I was a baby. Ethan decided to get in on the fun and went around the house for about an hour in a nightgown and he wanted us to do his hair like Logan's. He didn't look as much like a girl, because he is older. Chris wasn't too pleased with what we were doing, but we sure had a lot of fun!

One more thing... last night Logan took his first step by himself! It was so awesome. We didn't get it on video, but hopefully we will soon!

What a cutie!

He's proud to be in a nightgown!

His second outfit. We would've put him in more, but he was getting tired.
