Back to School

On Monday I am going back to school for the first time in 5 years. I will be going to Weber State University. People might think I am weird, but I am so excited! I have been wanting to go back for a long time. This semester I will be doing 4 online classes. It will be tough, but at least I can do it from home and I won't have to get a baby sitter or anything. I am not sure what I am going to major in, so this semester I am just going to finish up my generals. Chris has been so supportive of me going back to school. He knows how important it is to me. Thanks Babe!

We have been trying to get our house deep cleaned before school starts. It won't be all the way done; we are running out of time, but at least we are making progress!

Here is a cute picture of Logan cuddling with me:

Reunion

On August 6th my Grandpa, Jerald Smith, was reunited with his beautiful wife, Marlene. I am so glad that they are together again and that my Grandpa isn't suffering any more. I was actually with him when he passed and I could feel so much love and peace in the room. His funeral was so nice. There was so many family and friends there. Every one who talked about Grandpa made me remember what a wonderful person he is. He was in the military when he was younger and so he was given military honors at the cemetary. The American Legion did the 21 gun salute and my cousin, Luke, played taps. It was so neat and Luke did such a great job.
Grandpa had been living with my parents for over a year and towards the end they were almost completely taking care of him along with Hospice. I just want to say thanks Mom and Dad for all you did and the sacrifices you made in taking care of Grandpa! I love you! Anyways, I miss you Grandpa and Grandma and I look forward to seeing you again!

4th Anniversary

Okay, this past week, Nanette and I celebrated our 4th anniversary. Now, I know it doesn't seem like that is all that much; however, in a day where divorce is the first solution and an increasing trend of cohabitation, each year is significant on how important being married to Nanette is to me. So as a small tribute to Nanette, I will be doing the "Top 10 Reasons" why I am happy to be married to Nanette and why I love her.

10. Has deep concern for all those in her life, which I admire.
9. Is good to my family members.
8. She is the example of my life, especially in being good to others.
7. Nanette has a beautiful smile that reminds me to smile.
6. Supportive of my horrible work schedule and commute time.
5. Does a lot of hard work to help me be successful in my church calling.
4. Nano is extremely smart and handles situations intelligently.
3. Nanette is very beautiful.
2. She is the Mother of my children and does a wonderful job of being a Mom
1. She loves me for who I am.

I know I don't compliment enough to her; although, I would like everyone to know that I love her. She means the world to me and I feel very fortunate to have her as my wife.

Thank you Nanette for everything. I hope you had a wonderful anniversary and I had a great time at Good Things Utah and Park City. Love you.

Good Things Utah #2

I have been meaning to write this blog for a few days, but have been really busy and so I haven't gotten around to it. On Wednesday we (my Mom, Naomi, me, Aunt Leslie, Ashley, Stephanie, and Erin) got to be in the audience of the show "Good Things Utah". This is the second time we have gone. The first time we went for my Mom's birthday in April and this time we went for Aunt Leslie's 50th birthday! woo hoo! We had so much fun hanging out together. Of course we all tried to look good, because a couple of times they show the audience. I know that it is silly, but everyone wants to get at least a couple of seconds of TV time and fame! :)

One of my favorite things about going to the show is that a lot of times you get free stuff. This time we got free tickets to the Salt Lake Parade of Homes. I am way excited about that. I plan on taking Chris on a date to it. We also got Breast Cancer Awareness key chains, which is also cool. The lead actor and lead actress for "High School: The Musical" on Broadway were on the show. I was really hoping that we would get free tickets to that, but I am sure it is kinda pricey. It was cool to see them though, because they are probably kind of famous. I don't know. I wish I would've gotten a picture with them.

We didn't get a picture with the hosts this time, because they were wearing wigs and had to go get them off. It's okay though. We got them last time.

Here are a couple of pictures. I won't put them on all here, because my Mom will probably want to do a blog on it too and I don't want to steal all the pictures.
The girls. Aren't we cute? We are just missing Katie. Hopefully she will be able to come next time. :)

I think I found a new career for myself!

Afterwards we went shopping and out to lunch. What a perfect day for a bunch of girls!

BY THE WAY, IF YOU HAVEN'T WRITTEN A MEMORY OF ME YET, YOU STILL CAN ON THE BLOG BELOW OR EVEN ON THIS ONE. THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME! THANKS FOR READING!
