Logan can walk!

I am so excited. Logi started taking a few steps last night. I never thought he would walk. Okay, that is a lie, but I didn't think it would be for a little bit longer. We were at Chris' mom's house and he stood up and started walking towards his cousin Breckston. Then he took about 10 steps toward Chris. We have gotten him to walk quite a bit today, including one time when he took about 15 steps. I am so proud of my little guy. It will be so nice when I don't have to carry him all the time. He is getting so big. I took a video of him taking a few steps toward me. I hope to get a better one, but this will do for now.

Did everyone have a good Thanksgiving? I hope so. We had an enjoyable time spent with family and have so much to be grateful for. I didn't get too many pictures from it, because I was being lazy, but I know that Chris' mom took quite a few.

St. Lou-ey

I am once again such a slacker. I have been putting off writing this blog for no good reason. I had the chance to visit Chris while he was in St. Louis, but I have already been home for almost a week. I need to get with it and stop being so lazy. Anyways, we had a fun time. I had never been there before and had a blast sightseeing. Luckily we had GPS on our rental car or we would have gotten way lost!

We visited the Arch Nat'l Monument and after being strip searched (at least that is what it felt like) we rode in a small tram car to the top... 680 feet high! I am sort of afraid of heights and to look out at the city you have to lean out on your stomach. It was a little nerve wracking at first. There was a gorgeous view of the Mississippi river on one side and the city on the other.

We also went to a St. Louis Blues hockey game. It is the first NHL game that Chris and I have been to, and we both agreed that it was so much cooler (is that a word?) then a minor league game. There were as many people there as at a Jazz game and the fans were going crazy. We definitely got caught up in the hype.

The teams warming up

Us enjoying the game

It seems that this has been our year for traveling. We both love doing it so much and I am excited that we have one more trip before the year is over. We are going to Washington D. C. ! Chris has to go there for a class and I get to go visit him for 5 days. Woo hoo!

Potty training, haircuts, and surprise trips

I am attempting to potty train Ethan while I am up at my mom's house. He hasn't gone in the potty yet, but he is pretty good about sitting on it for awhile reading books. We showed him how to dump it out in the toilet after he goes and so a little bit later I saw him pretend to dump it in the toilet. It was so cute. At least he seems somewhat interested in the whole thing.

Lounging on his potty.

Katie gave Logan his first haircut a few days ago. He has needed one for a few months. She cut the back really good and he looks like a boy now. It is still long in the front, but he wouldn't hold still for that part. I will post a picture of it as soon as I get time to crop me out of the picture (I was still in my pajamas).

Like I said earlier, Chris has been in St. Louis for a couple of weeks. Well, when I was talking to him on Wednesday night we decided that I was going to fly out there for the weekend to see him. We found a really good deal on a flight, so I am leaving early tomorrow morning. We are going to go to an NHL hockey game and see the sites. I love surprise trips like this.

Logan loves to climb in things.

St. Louis

Well I'm in St. Louis now and have been so for 10 days now. Nanette is probably really happy because I'll be coming home soon (It's actually 9 more days). I'm excited to come back to because I miss her and the boys a lot. It's amazing how dependent I am to my family. Also, I need to point out, that I appreciate the support she has given in allowing me to go on this business trip. She has done a lot of behind-the-scenes work of taking care of the boys, bills, her school work, etc. It's amazing how much she brings to our family.

So enough of the sappy stuff. As mentioned before, I am here on a business trip. Not fun. The trip has been completely work and I don't think I have ever worked as many hours in my life. Nevertheless, as far as my working knowledge of the career path I am choosing, this has been the best experience. I've really had great input as to the missing links of my job function, so basically, when I get back to my own work I will be able to apply myself more appropriately to the tasks at hand, which means significant possibilities for promotions, awards, etc. I do plan on going to a NHL game during the weekend and I'm hoping to at least see the Arch. As mentioned above, I have had long hours and haven't had the chance to see the sites. There is one cool thing about the hotel location and that it is located across the street from the Rams practice field. Haven't seen anyone famous but maybe sometime I will. Another cool thing about St. Louis that differs from Utah and that is gas is currently $1.97 at the gas station across from the hotel.

I'm a slacker

I haven't posted a blog for a few days. I have been meaning to, but I feel like I don't have any time. Chris is in St. Louis on a business trip for 3 weeks and so I have been spending a lot of time at my parent's house. I think I would go crazy if it was just me and the boys for that long. Thanks to everyone who has been helping me out. Anyways, I will post something better soon.

Howwwl-oweeen!!!

On Halloween we went up to Smithfield and had a fun party with my family. My mom wrote all about what we did, on her blog, and so I won't go into details. We had a lot of fun though. Ethan and Logan were pretty wired from candy until about 11:30 pm and then they crashed. Ethan loved trick-or-treating and it surprised me that he would say thank you to all of the strangers giving him candy. He is usually very shy and won't talk at all.

Here is a picture of our misfit family:

Thanks Naomi and Katie for the awesome dinner and thanks to Mom and Dad for having the party. We better do it again next year.
